The Shop!

Moore Lapidary has one of the largest inventories of high quality petrified woods in Texas. We currently have about 80 tons. My wife and I (Bill & Barbara Moore) are the owners of this business. I started doing lapidary work when I was a boy making and selling cabs and cutting slabs from time to time. Several years ago I started selling polished slabs to wholesalers, consignment shops and individuals. This website will now enable us to sell directly to the public.

Our shop occupies 16,000 square feet and the largest saw has a blade capacity of four feet. We can lap and polish slabs up to 32 inches in diameter to a mirror finish.
